PASTOR DAN KWAKU OWUSU-ANSAH (DMin)
Mid Ghana Union Conference Youth Director
I was born on February 21, 1961, at Jacobu, a town in the Ashanti region of Ghana, to an Adventist family (maternally). Baptized at age 16 (1977) whilst attending Agona-Ashanti SDA Secondary School. I worked as a non-professional teacher and a banker before entering the Seminary in 1987. Married to a loving helpful wife, Doris who also hails from Jacobu. We are blessed with a son, Major M K. Owusu-Duah (of Ghana Army) and two daughters, Grace Owusu-Kwartemaa and Betty-Dale Owusu-Ansah and a foster son, Bismark (Junior). Have some grandchildren also.
Academically, have both BA in Religion (with Biology Minor) and MA in Religion (from Andrews University, ASWA Campus, Nigeria), and Doctor of Ministry in Missiology (with emphasis on Youth Participation in Mission, Adventist University of Africa, Kenya).
Joined the gospel ministry in 1991. Ordained in 1997 by Central Ghana Conference (CGC) and now hold ministerial credential from Mid Ghana Union Conference, formerly Northern Ghana Union Conference (NOGH) of SDA. Served for 34 years in active service in CGC and NOGH in various capacities as institutional chaplain, district pastor, church pastor, Conference Chaplaincy, Communication, Youth/Music, and Health Ministries/AAIM director. At the Union level have served as Chaplaincy, Health Ministries/AAIM, and Youth/Music director (for 11 years) with additional responsibility as a local church pastor.
My passion and commitment for youth ministries since infancy (from age 6 years as a Missionary Volunteer till now) gave me the privilege to serve as Adventist Youth Ministries director for about 18 years and 7 years as school chaplain. My marching orders centered on Ecclesiastes 9:10 and Colossians 2:23-25 are “For the love of Christ constraineth me” and “Doing my honest part” as a soldier and missionary for Christ.
